West Indies all-rounder Chinelle Henry has been ruled out of the upcoming limited-overs tour of England. The 29-year-old, who holds the off 18 balls, failed to recover from a leg injury.

Henry scored 171 runs from five innings in the Women's ODI World Cup Qualifiers in Pakistan, striking at 150. 28-year-old wicketkeeper Rashada Willams has also been left out. The visitors have called upon Realeanna Grimmond and Jahzara Claxton.

Deandra Dottin also couldn't recover in time from the knee injury she sustained while playing for the Gujarat Giants in the WPL.

West Indies head coach Shane Dietz looked forward to facing England, and re-establishing themselves as a world-class team.

"Going to England is a fantastic opportunity to play one of the best teams in the world for a long time and to really test our skills and put in practice what we've talked about off the pitch," Dietz was quoted as saying on ESPNcricinfo.

"We brought a good team to England, and we're looking forward to putting on a good performance for the crowd over there and all our supporters watching back in the Caribbean. It's going to be an excellent tour for us to reestablish ourselves as a world-class team with world-class players," Dietz added.

West Indies will play three T20Is from May 21 to 26 before playing a three-match ODI series on May 30, June 4 and June 7.

West Indies are looking to rebuild after they failed to qualify for the ODI World Cup to be held on Indian soil.
