Australian cricketer Josh Hazlewood is set to return to India to play for the RCB, with IPL 2025 set to resume on May 17.

According to reports, the fast bowler will soon travel to India, but no confirmed date was mentioned. Hazlewood left India after the IPL 2025 suspension for a week amid rising border tensions between India and Pakistan.

However, the ceasefire was implemented and BCCI announced that the tournament will resume on May 17 and the final will take place on June 03.

Hazlewood missed RCB’s last game due to shoulder injury and with the WTC final is approaching, there were questions overs his participation.

He has picked 18 wickets in 10 games and has played a massive role in RCB’s successful campaign in almost securing a playoffs spot for his team.

“Yes, Josh will travel to India. We are in discussion with the authorities about the exact date of his arrival,” said a source close to fast bowler.

With Pat Cummins and Travis Head have agreed to return since the Sunrisers Hyderabad are knocked out of the tournament, the uncertainity of Mitchell Starc looms over.

Jake Fraser-McGurk who was part of PBKS vs DC clash, has reportedly shaken by the incident followed by the evacuation process and hence has decided to pull out due to personal reasons.

Meanwhile, Australian duo of seam-bowling all-rounder Marcus Stoinis and wk-batter Josh Inglis are expected to join Punjab Kings for their IPL 2025 match against Delhi Capitals set to be played on May 24 in Jaipur.

“Jansen, Bartlett, Omarzai and Owen are likely to join the PBKS camp in Jaipur by tomorrow. For Stoinis and Inglis, they will most probably join from the second game onwards, which is against DC. We are yet to know about the availability status of Aaron Hardie, though,” said another source.

Both Josh Inglis and Marco Jansen has been Australia squad and South Africa squad for the World Test Championship (WTC) final, starting at Lord’s from June 11. However, it is yet to be known for how long the duo will be available for PBKS in IPL 2025, which now ends on June 03.
