Punjab Kings welcomed injury replacement Mitchell Owen into the camp as the team got down to practice ahead of the IPL 2025 encounter against Rajasthan Royals on Sunday.
The team announced the arrival of the Australian batter, signed as a replacement for Glenn Maxwell, through a post on Instagram.
Skipper Shreyas Iyer too joined the team after the brief recess following the suspension of the league on May 9. The Kings are currently third in the league standings, just a win away from qualifying for the Playoffs for the first time since 2014.
The team helmed by Ricky Ponting, currently on 15 points, has three games left to play in the season. After the encounter against the Royals, Punjab will take on fellow playoff hopefuls Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians, both in the Pink City.
