GT, RCB, PBKS qualify; 3 teams fight for 4th spot

Gujarat Titans (GT), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), and Punjab Kings (PBKS) qualified for the IPL 2025 playoffs on Sunday night (May 18).

The qualification of the three teams was confirmed after GT thrashed Delhi Capitals (DC) by 10 wickets in the second game of the day on Sunday in New Delhi.

With the win, GT moved to the top of the table with 18 points from 12 games while RCB are second (17) followed by PBKS (17) with the same number of matches each.

The fourth and final slot for the playoffs will be a three-way fight between Mumbai Indians (MI), Delhi Capitals (DC) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), five-time winners Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) have already been eliminated.

The IPL 2025 playoffs will be played on May 29, May 30 and June 1. The final is on June 3.
