Yashasvi Jaiswal made a world record by scoring a stormy century, became the first batsman to do so

Rajasthan Royals' opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a brilliant century on Monday (April 22) in the IPL 2024 match played against Mumbai Indians at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. 22 year old Jaiswal played a stormy inning of 104 unbeaten runs in 60 balls, in which he hit 9 fours and 7 sixes.

Jaiswal has become the first player in the history of IPL to score two centuries at the age of 22. He also scored his first IPL century against Mumbai.

This is Jaiswal's third century in T-20. With this, at the age of 22, he has reached joint first place in terms of most centuries. Apart from them, Devdutt Padikkal, Unmukt Chand and Ahmed Shahzad have scored 3 centuries each.

Has become the sixth player to score two or more centuries against one team in IPL. Before him, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, David Warner, Chris Gayle and Jos Buttler have achieved this feat.

Jaiswal has reached second place in the list of youngest players to score a century while chasing in IPL. He achieved this feat at the age of 22 years and 116 days. Devdutt Padikkal is at number one.

It is noteworthy that on the basis of Jaiswal's century, Rajasthan defeated Mumbai by 9 wickets. After winning the toss and batting first, Mumbai scored 179 runs after losing 9 wickets on the basis of innings of Tilak Verma (65) and Nehal Wadhera (49).

In response, Rajasthan won with the loss of just 1 wicket with 1.2 overs remaining. Apart from Jaiswal, Jos Buttler scored 35 runs and captain Sanju Samson scored 38 unbeaten runs.
