Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh were batting smartly before Josh Hazlewood dismissed the former.

Phil Salt took a stunning catch to contribute to the first breakthrough. The ball was travelling towards the deep square area, where Salt came running to grab the ball.
However, he lost his balance and threw the ball in the air before crossing the rope. Phil then came back on the field to complete the catch.

Arya scored 24 runs off 19 balls, with the help of 4 fours. Virat Kohli, who was silent, came back to life and celebrated aggressively. Earlier, Prabhsimran Singh’s catch was dropped by Romario Shepherd while chasing 191 runs in 20 overs.

Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and was elected to bowl first in the IPL 2025 final. Bowlers justified his call by restricting Royal Challengers Bengaluru to 190/9.

Kyle Jamieson and Arshdeep Singh took three wickets each at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Virat, who amassed 43 runs, was the top scorer for his franchise.
