The 30-year-old Kyle Jamieson has provided a crucial breakthrough for Punjab Kings in the IPL 2025 finals played on June 03 at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

He went on to bag the wickets of Phil Salt and Rajat Patidar, helping the side to restrict RCB’s run flow in Tuesday’s clash.

Both sides are aiming for a win to clinch their maiden IPL title. Phil Salt and Virat Kohli opened the innings while Arshdeep Singh opened the bowling attack. With Salt aiming for an aggressive start, Kyle Jamieson bagged the wicket of the wicket-keeper for 16 runs.

With Mayank Agarwal joining Kohli at the crease, RCB went on to score 55 runs in the powerplay. Chahal, who came into attack after the end of the powerplay, bagged the wicket of Mayank Agarwal for 24 runs.

Rajat Patidar who walked to bat, got dimissed by Kyle Jamieson for 26 runs. With his dismissal, RCB lost three wickets for 96 runs.

Punjab Kings won the toss and opted to bowl first. Speaking at the toss, PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer said, We’re going to bowl. Only want to give positive signs to my mind and body. It’s an amazing day.

Crowd is electrifying. All we have to do is come here and cherish.”

“Boys are in brilliant shape and mindset. All we spoke about in the team meeting is the more calm you are, the better. Nerves are fine. I won’t say it’s just like another game. It’s the final and we’re going to play like a final. Tremendous feeling just thinking about lifting the trophy. Same team,” concluded Shreyas Iyer.

Meanwhile, RCB captain Rajat Patidar said, We were also going to bowl. Pitch looks hard, will try to put a good score and put them under pressure. Till now we’ve played good cricket. It’s just another game for us.”

“It’s a big stage but as I said it’s just another away game for us. Same team. Pitch is looking good. I think it’s a flat track, a mix of red and black soil,” concluded Rajat Patidar.
