Delhi: Before IPL 2025, Jitesh Sharma saw a dream. That dream was to lift the IPL trophy with Virat Kohli and Dinesh Karthik. They had settled it in mind and made it their goal.
On Tuesday, 3 June, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated Punjab Kings by 6 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad and won their first IPL title. With this victory, Jitesh’s dream also turned into reality.
After winning the match, Jitesh shared a picture on social media, in which Virat Kohli was standing on one side and Dinesh Karthik on the other. He captioned this special moment – “Power of Manifestation – Virat Bhai left and DK Anna right, and IPL Trophy in hand.”
Jitesh told that when he joined the RCB team in March, he was asked what he wants to do for this season. Then he wrote the same dream – take a picture with Virat and DK with the trophy.
Jitesh’s performance was excellent this season. He scored 261 runs in 11 innings, average 37.28 and strike rate 176.35.
Jitesh’s biggest contribution for RCB came when he captained 85 not out in 33 balls, captaining against Lucknow Super Giants. With the help of this innings, RCB chased a huge target of 228 runs – the team’s biggest successful run chase ever.
This victory against Lucknow proved to be a turning point for RCB. The team confirmed their place in the top-2 and defeated Punjab Kings by 8 wickets in Qualifier-1. In the final, he created history by defeating Punjab again.
The story of Jitesh Sharma is an excellent example of the fact that if you want something from the heart and work hard, then dreams can also come true. In IPL 2025, Jitesh not only performed brilliantly, but also made his dream a reality.
