Nicholas Pooran of Lucknow Super Giants on Tuesday won the award for the most sixes hit by a batter during the Indian Premier League 2025 season.
Shreyas Iyer, captain of runner-up side Punjab Kings, was in contention to take the honour but was dismissed for one run in the final against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Shreyas finished with 39 sixes while Pooran managed 40.
The Most Valuable Player of the season, Suryakumar Yadav, ended in the third place with 38 sixes.
The record for the most sixes in a season belongs to Chris Gayle, who had struck 59 maximums during the 2012 season.
