The Indian Premier League (IPL) has got a new champion in the form of Royal Challengers Bangalore. RCB has won the title for the first time in 18 years. With this, it has ended a long series of failures. Now the IPL teams will start preparing for the next season, which will start with changes in the teams. The coaching staff also changed. It is reported that former Indian fast bowler Zaheer Khan may part ways with Lucknow Super Giants. He was the mentor of LSG in IPL 2025. Australia's Justin Langer was the head coach of the team.

The Lucknow Super Giants team could win only six out of 14 matches in IPL 2025. It finished 7th in the points table with 12 points. According to a Cricbuzz report, now the members of the coaching staff including Zaheer Khan are facing the brunt of this poor performance. According to the report, Zaheer was associated with the team before the IPL 2025 mega auction. He was given only a one-year contract, which is unlikely to be extended. According to sources, 'It would be a surprise if he (Zaheer) is kept with him further.'

According to a Cricbuzz report, 'Zaheer was brought in to work with head coach Justin Langer. Langer's contract is also up for renewal. It is not yet clear how the coordination between the two was. However there is dissatisfaction within the team and the management. However, the focus of the team management is currently more on Zaheer than Langer.'

LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka comes to watch almost every match of his team in the IPL. He is passionate about his team and sometimes reacts sharply to defeat. The management of LSG is not happy with the performance of the team this season. However, the team has failed to make it to the playoffs for the last two seasons. LSG signed Rishabh Pant for Rs 27 crore in the mega auction last year. Pant did not live up to expectations. He failed in batting and could not impress with his captaincy as well. Pant scored a century and a half-century this season and on both these occasions his team had to face defeat.
