Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s much-anticipated open bus victory parade has been called off due to heavy traffic congestion in Bengaluru. The celebration, which was expected to mark the franchise’s maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) title win, will now be confined to a felicitation event at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

According to the updated plan, the RCB team will be honoured at the stadium between 5 PM and 6 PM on June 4. The fan celebration will continue from 6 PM onwards, with entry restricted to those holding valid passes.

A traffic advisory issued earlier in the day urged the public to avoid roads around Vidhana Soudha and Chinnaswamy Stadium from 3 PM to 8 PM. Authorities also confirmed that there will be no victory parade. With parking space being limited, citizens are encouraged to use metro services and other public transportation.

Fans can still join the celebrations virtually. The event will be broadcast live on the Star Sports Networkwith streaming available on Jiocinema and Hotstar.

RCB defeated Punjab Kings by six runs in a nail-biting IPL 2025 final held in Ahmedabad. The emotional win saw Virat Kohli breaking down in tears as the team finally clinched the coveted trophy. Celebrations erupted across Karnataka, with fireworks lighting up the skies of Kalaburagi and fans in Bengaluru dancing in euphoria.
