The International Cricket Council is set to induct seven legendary players into the ICC Hall of Fame, which includes five men and two women, on June 09.
The inductions will be part of ‘A Day with Legends’, an event which will be broadcast live across ICC partner networks, allowing the fans to watch their cricketing greats being honoured.
Last year, Alastair Cook, AB de Villiers and Neetu David were inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame.
The new inductees were selected by a panel of ICC Hall of Famers, senior executives, and media representatives, will be honoured for their remarkable contributions to the game.
The event will be starting on 9:00 PM IST where South Africa Captain Temba Bavuma and Australia captain Pat Cummins will be present to preview the high octane World Test Championship Finals.
Speaking about the occasion, ICC chairman Jay Shah said, “Inducting legends into the ICC Hall of Fame is our way of honouring the game’s most extraordinary contributors. This accolade is reserved exclusively for those whose achievements have left an indelible mark on the sport, and each selection is made purely on merit.”
