Sanjay manjrekar takes dig at Virat Kohli: Team India started strong on the first day of the Handingley Test against England. After losing the toss, the Indian team came out to bat first by the openers. KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal made an important partnership of 91 runs for the first wicket and put pressure on the English bowlers.
Although KL Rahul was dismissed for 42 runs just before lunch, the discipline with which he batted, he gave a strong foundation to the team. However, Sanjay Manjrekar, who was commenting during his innings, had targeted Virat Kohli in the process of praising him.
Rahul’s most special thing about batting was his restrained attitude towards off -side balls. He stopped his arm several times and thought it better to leave the balls. Due to this discipline, he did not get caught in the bowlers’ trap and gave a concrete start to the team. Former cricketer and commentator Sanjay Manjrekar also appreciated his technology fiercely.
Sanjay Manjrekar praised Rahul’s batting and said that “a former batsman used to fall behind the balls in the off side”, which he used to get upset. Even if the name has not been taken, but speculations have started that the gesture was towards Virat Kohli. This statement also became increasingly viral on social media and became a topic of discussion.
Virat Kohli announced retirement from Test cricket before this series. Although his career is counted among the greatest players in Indian Test history, his biggest challenge in the last few years was off -side balls. He was constantly harassed on the same line against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and on the tour of England.
