Let us tell you that the first Test match was played from 20 June to 24 June at the Handingley Cricket Ground in Leeds. England managed to win it by five wickets. After losing the first Test match, the Indian team’s head coach Gautam Gambhir arrived at the press conference. Where he answered all the questions of the media.

But Gautam Gambhir interrupted a reporter when he was asking questions. The reporter was asking him about the flop of the lower -order players. Serious flops came out openly in defense of players.

Gautam Gambhir defended lower order batsmen

When a reporter questioned the poor performance of the lower order (number 8 to 11), Gambhir immediately interrupted and said, “First let me tell you that it is not that they are not trying. Many times people fail and it is part of cricket. They themselves are the most disappointed, because they knew that this match was a chance to win by 570-580 in the first innings.
