Captain Shubman Gill led the way with the bat, while Akash Deep and Mohammed Siraj filled the void left by Jasprit Bumrah with the ball, contributing to India’s historic 336-run triumph.

Gill scored 269 in the first innings, followed by a robust 161 in the second. His confident stroke play and composure at the crease left England’s bowlers scrambling.

Madan Lal shared his admiration for India’s impressive victory on X, praising the key players. However, he made a mistake by mentioning Mukesh Kumar, who wasn’t in the squad, instead of Akash Deep.
