Rituraj Gaikwad will not play county championship

Gaikwad was signed by Yorkshire County Cricket Club for 2025 season. He had to play five matches of the County Championship for the club. However, due to personal reasons, he has separated himself from this season. The club has also confirmed this by issuing an official statement. In the statement, Yorkshire County Cricket Club said, “Indian batsman Rituraj Gaikwad will no longer join the 2025 season with the club due to personal reasons.”

Injured during IPL 2025

Rituraj was seen captaining Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2025 in Gaikwad. During this time he was hurt in the elbow, due to which he could not play some of the last seasons. After recovering from the injury, he was included in the India A team for the tour of England, but there he did not get a chance to play a single match.

Now we will return to Ranji Trophy

After withdrawing the name from county cricket, Rituraj Gaikwad will now return through domestic cricket in India. He will be seen leading the Maharashtra team in the upcoming Ranji Trophy 2025 season.
