India Test captain Shubman Gill has confirmed that pacer Akash Deep has been ruled out of the 4th Test against England. Indian have been impacted by injuries, with Nitish Kumar Reddy to miss the remaining two Tests. Arshdeep Singh is also out of the Manchester match after injuring his bowling hand.

“Nitish Kumar Reddy is out of the next two Tests. Akash Deep and Arshdeep Singh have been ruled out of the fourth Test. But we have good players in the team and our focus will be on taking 20 wickets,” Shubman Gill said.
Gill mentioned that Anshul Kamboj is close to playing his first Test for India, but the final call will be taken on the match day.
“We have seen enough of him. Anshul Kamboj knows what we want. He is with us because he can win a game for us. It is not nice to change combinations after every match. But he is close to making a debut. It will be a toss between Prasidh Krishna and him.”
