Aakash Chopra admitted that if Kuldeep Yadav was kept in the playing XI for the fourth Test against England, there was no guarantee of his success. But Aakash said that he is worried about Kuldeep not getting a chance.

On Day 3 (Friday, July 25) India let England score 544 runs in their first innings. Earlier, India were dismissed for 358 runs on Day 2.

Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra mentioned that it’s easy to judge people from the outside. According to him, Kuldeep should have played in the Manchester Test because of the pitch.

“Should Kuldeep Yadav have been included? It’s a valid question. Morne Morkel came out and said he’s bowling well, and they want to play him, but they can’t do that unless the top six score runs. It’s easy to pass judgment from the outside since I’m not directly involved in the game,” Chopra said.

“There was a strong argument to include Kuldeep Yadav because the pitch is flat. It’s not the usual Manchester surface where the ball moves. In this situation, one could argue that it might have been better if Kuldeep had played. However, there’s no certainty that he would have taken a five-wicket haul, but not having Kuldeep in the team, I believe, is a bit of a concern,” he added.
