Australia’s PM XI is set to host England Men’s 11 in a day-night fixture at Manuka Oval on November 29 and 30, 2025. This year will mark the eleventh occasion on which England has faced the Prime Minister’s XI and the first to be played with a Pink Kookaburra Ball.

The Prime Minister of Australia, Anthony Albanese, said, “This year, we welcome an England XI to Manuka Oval for what promises to be a thrilling contest ahead of the greatest rivalry in cricket.

“An Ashes series is something every cricket fan looks forward to. Like many Australians, I grew up admiring and begrudging the brilliance of players like Ian Botham, David Gower, and Graham Gooch.

“I look forward to meeting with the selectors to finalise a PM’s XI that showcases the best available talent from across Australia to take on the strong English team.”

The PM’s XI match will be held between Sheffield Shield rounds, raising hopes both sides could field strong Playing XIs.

The Intra squad clash at Perth’s Lillac venue on November 13-15, will not be officially scored, with England understood to be keen to utilise it more for centre-wicket and match simulations sessions to help Ben Stokes’ squad fine tune for the series.

The England Lions will then play a four first class matches against Cricket Australia XI that will run simantaneously with the West Test in Perth, held at Lilac Hill from November 21-24.

“The reciprocal A series against the England Lions is important for Australian Cricket giving our players the chance to perform against high calibre opposition,” said CA‘s Head of Cricket Operations and Scheduling, Peter Roach.

“It is a big year of Australia A cricket opportunities with the recently completed series against Sri Lanka A and tour of India in September before the Lions series,” concluded Peter Roach.
