David Warner has once again highlighted Joe Root’s struggles in Australia. Warner said that Root will once again find it hard to score runs against Josh Hazlewood in the upcoming Ashes.

Warner mocked Root for his front pad technique. “Rooty is yet to score a hundred in Australia. Josh Hazlewood has dismissed him a lot of times,” Warner told BBC Sport.

Meanwhile, Stuart Board defended his former teammate.

Root has transformed his batting in the last few years. He has hit 39 Test tons and is the second-highest run-getter in the history of red-ball cricket. “Root is a hell of a cricketer, but he would like to score a hundred in Australia,” Warner concluded.
