Zak Crawley has made an impressive knock, helping the side Northern Superchargers make a winning start in The Men’s Hundred 2025.

His unbeaten 67-run knock helped Superchargers chase a successful 144-run target set by Welsh Fire. He was involved in a 91-run opening stand along with Dawid Malan, helping the side to do the job in breezy fashion.

Jonny Bairstow got off to a good start alongside Steve Smith. While Matthew Potts conceded a six and four to Smith, he got his revenge when the Australian got an inside edge that rattled the stumps.

The duo made a 62-run partnership for the first wicket, and with Wells’s dismissal for a duck, Abell and Kohler-Cadmore went on to score 18 and 10 runs respectively.

With Saif Zaib and Paul Walter went on to score 13 and 15 runs, the lower middle order has helped the Welsh Fire went on to score 143 runs.

In the pursuit of chasing 144 runs, Zak Crawley went on to score 67* runs while Dawid Malan went on to post 41 runs before being dismissed by Riley Meredith.

With Harry Brook’s 25 runs Northern Superchargers went on to secured 8 wicket victory in 89 deliveries.

Zak Crawley has been named as the Player of the Month. Speaking on the post match conference, “Loved it, the boys are great. Coming here with Freddie (Flintoff) around, he’s a legend. It’s a great place to play cricket and it’s an awesome wicket to bat on, so yeah loved it.”

“The outfield was rapid, so the game plan was for us to play strong shots and it came off. The guys kept them down to a really good total. We felt that we could chase that, so yeah it was good from us,” he added.

“Dawid (Malan) and I complement each other nicely. We hit in different areas, so that was good. Made it easy for me towards the end (the way Brook played.) We managed to take regular wickets, we talked about it before the game,” concluded Zak Crawley.
