Dhruv Jurlel has been appointed as the captain of the Central Zone for the Dalip Trophy 2025. The team will have silver Patidar vice -captains while experienced players like Kuldeep Yadav and Deepak Chahar are also included. The Central Zone will play its first match from the North East Zone on 28 August.
Delhi: Team India’s young wicketkeeper batsman Dhruv Jurlel got a big responsibility as soon as he returns from the tour of England. He has been appointed as the captain of the Central Zone for the Dalip Trophy 2025. Jurael made her debut in the absence of Rishabh Pant in the last match of the Test series against England and caught everyone’s attention with his brilliant performance behind the wicket.
Many big names have been included in the Central Zone team. Dhruv Jurael has been made the captain, while Rajat Patidar has been given the vice -captain. Kuldeep Yadav, who was part of Team India on the tour of England but did not get a chance to play, is also included in this team. Along with this, Deepak Chahar is also ready to return to the field after a long time.
In the Ranji Trophy 2024-25, left-handed spinner Harsh Dubey, who took 69 wickets for Vidarbha, has also been given a place in the team. They are considered to be the discovery of this season.
The Central Zone team will play their first match against the North East Zone on August 28. The match will be held at the Center of Excellence in Bangalore.
