Pant’s focus has been on Test cricket for some time. He made his T20I debut in 2017 and has scored 1209 runs in 76 matches so far, which includes only three half -centuries. His average has been 23.25. His performance in IPL 2025 was also simple, where he scored just 269 runs in 14 matches.
Meanwhile, Sanju Samson has proved himself as a wicketkeeper batsman. He has so far scored 861 runs in 42 T20I matches, including three centuries and two half -centuries. His wicketkeeping has also been excellent, due to which he is more likely to get a place in the squad.
At the same time, Ishaan Kishan is also ready to return to the team. He has scored 796 runs in 32 T20I matches and is being seen as a strong option. In the absence of Rishabh Pant, Team India has strong options as wicketkeeper.
