Indian cricketer Akash Deep has found himself embroiled in controversy after reportedly buying a car that was not registered and lacked the necessary high-security registration plate (HSRP). The Uttar Pradesh Transport Department has sent him a notice, advising him not to drive the car for the time being.

Moreover, action has been taken against the dealership, M/s Sunny Motors, from which Akash purchased the vehicle. The dealership has been temporarily suspended for a month for selling the car without proper registration and the required HSRP.

Akash bought a black Toyota Fortuner shortly after the conclusion of the India vs England Test series, which ended in a 2-2 draw. The cricketer had posted pictures of his new car, posing with his family.

“Dream delivered. Keys received with the ones who matter most,” he wrote in a social media post. Cricketers and fans congratulated the pacer.

“Bahut Bahut Badhaiiiii,” India T20 Captain Suryakumar Yadav Wrote. “Mubarak Ho,” Karn Sharma Wrote.

Akash Deep played a crucial role in India’s success during the series against England, taking 13 wickets in three Tests. One of his standout moments came in the second Test at Edgbaston, Birmingham, where he took 10 wickets, contributing to India’s historic win. His match figures included 4/88 in the first innings and 6/99 in the second, helping India secure a 336-run victory.

The India-England series rekindled memories of past Ashes battles. India lost the first Test after England successfully chased down 371 at Headingley. However, the visitors bounced back in the second Test with a win, only to lose narrowly by 22 runs in the third at Lord’s. India then fought back to secure a draw in the fourth Test at Manchester and clinched a dramatic six-run victory in the fifth Test at the Oval, ensuring the series ended in a thrilling 2-2 draw.
