AUS vs SA 3rd T20I Playing 11: Mitchell Marsh-led Australia will square off against Aiden Markram-led South Africa in the 3rd T20I match on August 16 at Cazaly’s Stadium, Caims.
Both sides have one win each and levelled the series 1-1. In the first match, Australia emerged victorious on the back of Tim David’s knock.
In the second T20I, Dewald Brevis century and Corbin Bosch and Kwena Mapahaka bowling spell claimed a 53 run victory to tie the series.
Australia won the toss and opted to bowl first. Speaking at the toss, Mitchell Marsh said, “We are going to bowl first. Get as much information as we can, we haven’t played here a lot. Hopefully that’s the right call.”
“Played a couple of games, enjoyed the time here. Cairns is a pretty amazing part of Australia. Hopefully one-all finishes with a series win. (Lessons learned) As a whole, just making good decisions for 240 balls,” Marsh added.
“We know that they are a team that can put under pressure, but we know we can match up as well. Hopefully we come out on top tonight. Three changes. We have Nathan Ellis in for Sean Abbott, Josh Inglis back from illness and Aaron Hardie in for Mitch Owen who is out die to concussion,” concluded Marsh.
Meanwhile Aiden Markram said, “Probably would have batted. If we bat well, we can get ahead of the game. Hopefully the wicket plays well so we can put a good score on the board. It looks quite nice, we’ll assess after the first couple of balls.”
“It’s a completely new game today, if there’s some take mental confidence we can take from the other night, it’ll be good. One change, Muthusamy comes in for Peter,” he concluded.
