AUS vs SA 2nd ODI Playing 11: Mitchell Marsh-led Australia will square off against Aiden Markram-led South Africa in the second ODI match on August 22 at Great Barrier Reef Arena, Mackay.

The Proteas secured a 1-0 lead in the ODI format after a 98-run victory at Cairns. They will be looking for a win at Mackay to seal the series, while Australia will be aiming to bounce back and claim a victory in Friday’s clash.

Hence, it will be an interesting matchup between the sides in the second match of the series.

South Africa won the toss and opted to bat first. Speaking at the toss, Aiden Markram said, “We are going to bat first. Looks good to the eye, again don’t have too much info on the venue, hopefully put up a good score.”

“Temba is good, he’s just having a rest day, de Zorzi comes in for him and Muthusamy comes in for Subrayen. It is always good to win but it is more important to back them up and that’s where the focus is today,” Markram concluded.

Meanwhile, Australia captain Mitchell Marsh said, “We were actually going to bat first today. Looks like a really good one-day wicket, happy to bowl first and hopefully we can restrict them to a chaseable total. Bartlett comes in for Dwarshius.”
