Delhi: The ODI series of three matches between Australia and South Africa has ended. South Africa won the first two matches and won the series 2–1, but in the third and last ODI, Australia gave a befitting reply. The Kangaroos created history by defeating South Africa by 276 runs. This is the biggest win of a ODI match played in 2025 and also the biggest defeat in South Africa’s ODI history.

Sri Lanka suffered the biggest defeat in ODI history in the match between India and Sri Lanka on 15 January 2023. Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, India batted first and scored 390 runs for 5 wickets. Shubman Gill played 116 runs and Virat Kohli played a brilliant innings of unbeaten 166 runs.
Chasing the target, Sri Lanka’s team collapsed for just 73 runs. India won this match by a big margin of 317 runs, which is the biggest win in ODI history.
In the match played in Delhi on 25 October 2023, Australia scored a huge score of 400 runs against the Netherlands. In response, the entire Netherlands team was reduced to 91 runs and Australia won the match by 309 runs.
On 26 January 2023, Zimbabwe scored 409 runs in the match between the US and Zimbabwe. Chasing the target, the US team was reduced to just 105 runs. The result was that the US suffered a crushing defeat by 304 runs.
