Delhi: South African batsman AB de Villiers Royal Challengers have been no less than a legend for Bangalore (RCB). He played 11 IPL season with the franchise and then announced his retirement. Although he will no longer return as a player, but is ready to play the role of coach or mentor in future.

In a recent interview, de Villiers said that his heart will always be with RCB. He said, “That they want to join the franchise again, but this time in the role of coaching or mentor. De Villiers made it clear that the professional commitment for the entire season is no longer possible, but if the RCB gives them a chance when the right time comes, they will definitely join.”

De Villiers played a total of 157 matches for RCB. During this time he scored 4522 runs and his strike rate was 158.33. He scored two centuries and 37 half -centuries for the team. His explosive batting made him the most important player of RCB.

Started with Delhi Daredevils

AB started his IPL career with Delhi Daredevils. There he played three seasons and then joined RCB in 2011. After this, he became one of the best foreign players in the league. He was also included in the RCB Hall of Fame along with Chris Gayle.

2016 memorable season

The 2016 season was the most spectacular for de Villiers. He scored 687 runs in 16 matches that year and finished third in the top run-gold list. This season, he scored a century and six half -centuries. His entire IPL career was also excellent, in which he scored a total of 5162 runs in 184 matches.
