Delhi: Former England captain Eoin Morgan believes that Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has shown the other teams how to defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Speaking on Jio Cinema, Morgan praised RCB for their spectacular win over third-placed SRH. This match was played on Thursday at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

RCB won the toss and batted first and scored a huge score of 206 runs. In defense of the target, the guests made good use of their spinners and restricted SRH to a total score of only 171 runs. With this he got his second win of the tournament. Morgan believed that RCB's strategy was correct as they eliminated SRH's biggest strength.

“I think the way RCB played, it is a warning as to how other teams perform against Sunrisers,” 37-year-old Eoin Morgan said on Jio Cinema.

What did Morgan say about CSK vs SRH match?

Now SRH is ready for the match with Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Morgan argued that if CSK is able to create a pitch that suits their spinners, they may have a chance to defeat SRH in Chepauk. CSK has already played SRH in one match in the league stage and lost in Hyderabad.

The former England captain said, “He is going to go to Chennai next. Obviously, so far in Chepauk, we have seen good batting pitches, so it will be interesting to see what CSK works on them. “On a good pitch, we saw what Marcus Stoinis did that night at Chepauk.”

It is noteworthy that despite the defeat against RCB, Hyderabad team is currently in third place in the league table with 10 points from 8 matches.
