Delhi: In the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2025 eliminator match, West Delhi Lions defeated South Delhi Superstar by 7 wickets and dropped them out of the tournament. West Delhi Lions captain Nitish Rana has also been punished. During the match, he made an aggressive gesture, which was considered against the sportsmanship. Rana will have to pay a fine of 50% match fee under Article 2.6 (Level 1).

Aman Bharti accused of indecent language

Aman Bharti, a South Delhi superstar player, used objectionable language during the match. A 30% match fee has been deducted under Article 2.3 (Level 1).

Sumit Mathur also trapped

Action has been taken under Article 2.5 (Level 1) on Sumit Mathur of South Delhi Superstar. He is accused that he made language and gestures to instigate the opposing player. For this, they will have to pay a fine of 50% match fee.

The biggest fine on Krish Yadav

West Delhi Lions player Krish Yadav has been the most strict action. Yadav showed a bat while abusing the opposing player. It was considered a serious violation of Article 2.3 (Level 2). On this, he has been fined 100% match fees.

Acting on the five players, the DPL Organizing Committee made it clear that no compromise will be made with the dignity and discipline of the game. Also, the players have been warned that such incidents will not be tolerated in future.
