At the age of 44, playing another IPL is a challenge for Dhoni but according to the latest media reports, captain Dhoni, who won the IPL five times, can also be seen playing in IPL 2026. According to a Revspports report, N Srinivasan’s return as CSK President may inspire Dhoni to play another season of the league.
MS Dhoni has been struggling with knee injury since the last IPL season and how fit his body is in the next few months, it will decide his future in the IPL. Dhoni recently also said that he will decide to play IPL by December.
Dhoni is a player to attract fans and if he plays, naturally, CSK will also be in discussion in IPL 2026. Secondly, CSK is still going through a period of change and Dhoni’s experience will prove useful for the team and Ruturaj Gaikwad.
Till now, CSK has been preferring Dhoni’s experience instead of a good wicketkeeper-batsman and if he wants to play another season for the team, he will not have any objection, but everything will depend on what his knee position is when he makes up his mind to play IPL.
