Overview:

Sri Lanka never got going in the match and kept losing wickets.

Zimbabwe returned to winning ways as they defeated Sri Lanka by 5 wickets in the second T20I to level the series. After being invited to bat first, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 80 in 17.4 overs. Sikandar Raza (3/11) and Brad Evans (3/15) were magnificent with the ball.

Zimbabwe completed the chase in 14.2 overs despite Dushmantha Chameera’s three wickets for 19 runs. Earlier, Sri Lanka never got going in the match and kept losing wickets.

Charith Asalanka (18 off 23) and Dasun Shanaka (15 off 21) added 26 runs, but their slow batting didn’t help the cause.

Ryan Burl (20* off 22) and Tashinga Musekiwa (21* off 14) didn’t allow the three early setbacks to trouble the chase. It was Zimbabwe’s second T20 win over Sri Lanka. Captain Sikandar Raza was named the Player of the Match for taking three wickets.
