A fresh clip featuring MS Dhoni and Bollywood actor R Madhavan has gone viral across social media platforms. The short teaser shows Dhoni stepping into the action world, performing stunts alongside Madhavan, sparking huge excitement among fans.

On 7 September, Madhavan uploaded the teaser introducing it as part of The Chase, a project directed by Vasan Bala. What surprised many was Dhoni’s presence, where he is seen taking on the role of a task force officer alongside Madhavan.

In the teaser, the pair is portrayed as “two fighters on one mission”. Both are dressed in uniforms with bulletproof jackets, ready for high-intensity action. Madhavan captioned it, “One mission. Two fighters. Buckle up – a wild, explosive chase begins. The Chase – teaser out now. Directed by Vasan Bala. Coming soon.”

Madhavan didn’t give details about whether The Chase is a film, a series, or something else. The mystery only added fuel to the fire.

Meanwhile, Dhoni’s last cricket appearance came during the 2025 IPL season, where he captained Chennai Super Kings in place of Ruturaj Gaikwad, who was ruled out with an elbow injury. However, the campaign proved challenging, as the team managed only four wins in 14 matches and finished 10th.
