Delhi: The Indian team has been included in the Indian team for the T20 Asia Cup 2025 – Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakraborty and Akshar Patel. India’s first match will be against UAE in Dubai on 10 September. Before that, it is a big question in front of captain Suryakumar Yadav and coach Gautam Gambhir whether he will feed all the three spinners together.

“Decision will depend on condition”

Former bowling coach of Team India Bharat Arun believes that a lot will depend on the condition of the pitch. If the wickets are favorable for spinners, then feeding the three can be a sensible step.

Bharat Arun said, “Varun is a great T20 bowler and match winner too. Kuldeep is also fantastic. At the same time, Akshar also contributes with the bat. So the letter will be seen as an all -rounder. If the pitch supports the spin, it can be a good decision to feed the three. The variety of three will be beneficial for the team.”

Kuldeep still trusts

Varun Chakraborty has currently become a major spinner in India’s T20I. At the same time, Kuldeep Yadav has not received any T20 International match since the final of T20 World Cup 2024. Akshar Patel performed well in the domestic series against England this year.

Kuldeep did not get a chance to play a single match on England tour, but Bharat Arun has expressed confidence in his experience.

He said, “Kuldeep has done herself much better in the recent past. He is bowling very well. He has not been able to play in England, but he must have put a lot of overs in practice. He has a good experience and he is a strong player in T20 format.”

Throwing 32 overs in Dalip Trophy beneficial

Bharat Arun also said that even though Kuldeep did not take any wickets despite throwing 32 overs in the Dalip Trophy 2025, it would have helped him to get rhythm back.

He said, “I don’t pay much attention to the performance. As a coach I only see his rhythm. Bolling 32 overs was good for him. This must have returned their rhythm. Dubai pitches can be favorable for Kuldeep. The grounds there are big and can help for spin. I think Kuldeep will do well in the Asia Cup.”
