Earlier, the Afghans showed their might in the batting department despite losing some early wickets. Azmatullah Omarzai was the best of the lot, scoring 53 runs off 21 balls, with the help of 5 sixes and 3 fours.
Sediqullah Atal, the opening batter, remained unbeaten on a score of 73 runs off 52 deliveries. He smashed 6 fours and 3 sixes as Afghanistan posted 188/6 in 20 overs.
