Coal Ministry’s second road show on coal gasization in New Delhi on Friday

New Delhi, 25 September (Read News). The Ministry of Coal is going to organize a second road show on coal gassi and underground technologies at FICCI Federation House in New Delhi on Friday with the Indian Commerce and Industry Federation (FICCI). The ministry had earlier held a high-level road-show in Mumbai on 12 September.

The Coal Ministry said in a statement on Thursday that the central government will organize a road-show on ‘Coal Gasiization-Federation and Undergraduate Technologies’ at FICCI Federation House in the capital New Delhi on 26 September as an industry partner. In this program, Union Minister of Coal and Mines Kishan Reddy will be the chief guest and Minister of State for Coal and Mines Satish Chandra Dubey as a special guest.

The ministry said that these road shows are being organized after the 13th round of auction of commercial coal mines recently launched by the Ministry, which will help companies to mined and use coal for various purposes. The objective of the event is to discuss the expansion of coal gasification technologies in India, developing suitable commercial models to promote private investment and to carry forward indigenous gassi technology at a commercial level.

The ministry said that the policy provisions appropriate to provide financial assistance to the marketing of products obtained from coal gasization and projects will also be discussed. India has set an ambitious target of 100 metric tonnes of coal gasization by the year 2030. In this roadshow, chemicals, petrochemicals, oils and gas, steel, aluminum, electricity, coal and stakeholders of allied sectors as well as major investors and financial institutions are expected to come together.

According to the coal ministry, the event will provide a platform to the industry leaders, investors and policy makers to exchange ideas, to find out investment opportunities and to identify collaborative strategies to accelerate coal gasification projects across the country. The second roadshow on coal gasification will prove to be an important step in travel to India towards clean, sustainable and self -sufficient energy solutions.
