Delhi. The Lawn Tennis Girls category was held in 54th Kendriya National Sports Meet 2024- 25 at RK Khanna International Tennis Stadium in Delhi between 16 and 20 September. At the National Sports Meet, Delhi’s lawn tennis team won the trophy by winning. While the team of Gurgaon Region won the runner -up trophy in the tournament.

The Delhi team became the champion, showing their glow throughout the tournament. Captain Ila Pandey, daughter of Kaushambi, received the trophy while leading the Delhi Region team. In the same sequence, Ishika Banavat of Jaipur Region in the individual category defeated Ila Pandey of Delhi Region in the super tie break and won the match. While Ila was runner -up in individual category.

Explain that the Central School National Sports Meet 2024- 25 for lawn tennis was organized this year at RK Khanna International Tennis Stadium in Delhi. In which 26 region teams from across the country participated. In this competition, players (girls) of Delhi Region became the overall champion by winning the highest win. The team was led by Ila Pandey, a student of Gol Market Kendriya Vidyalaya in Delhi.

Ila Pandey is a resident of Gram Sabha Nidhiyavan in Kaushambi. Ila is a national level tennis player and is taking tennis training in tennis coach Kuldeep Sharma in Delhi itself. Last year, Ila Pandey took tennis training from international coach Sasa Nensel in Germany’s Pina for three months. While Spain’s famous Jessie Ferrero has also taken Ela tennis training at Tennis Academy.

Sardar Singh Chauhan, Deputy Commissioner of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Delhi Region, Assistant Commissioner KC Meena, Principal of Gol Market Kendriya Vidyalaya Suchita Kaushal, Sports Teacher Rajiv Kumar were present in the award distribution program.
