– Green bond made the country’s first major investment

Indore, 26 September (Read News). The important meeting on the city bus office in Indore of Madhya Pradesh on Friday, an important meeting regarding the much awaited solar park at Jalud, was also attended by the officials associated with the agency concerned in the meeting chaired by Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava. The Mayor said that the 60 MW solar park has almost been prepared by the Indore Municipal Corporation to promote renewable energy and reduce the electricity expenditure on Maa Narmada Water Project. The project was funded through green bonds, on which investors across the country expressed confidence.

The Municipal Corporation Council took this decision keeping in mind environmental protection and energy savings. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav performed Bhoomipujan of this solar park. Now the testing of connection and charging work will start soon in the final phase and electricity supply will start from this park from November.

After the start of this project, the Municipal Corporation will save about 4 to 5 crore rupees electricity bill every month. Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava said that there are challenges to some transmission lines, which will be removed soon. Indore will be the first municipal corporation in the country to have prepared such a big renewable energy solar park from green bonds. It will be inaugurated very soon.
