The Asia Cup 2025 will be remembered due to the conflict between India and Pakistan for many years to come.

During this tournament played after a dreadful terrorist attack and then the battle played after the war between the two countries, there was a conflict between the players of India-Pakistan. The impact of this tension was also seen before the finals between the two teams, due to which an old tradition broke. Like every time, this time there was no photoshoot of both captains with the trophy before the final of the Asia Cup.

The final of the Asia Cup 2025 is to be played between India and Pakistan in Dubai on 28 September. This is going to be the first final in itself because earlier in the history of Asia Cup, there was no clash in the title match between India and Pakistan.

In such a situation, every kind of effort is being made to make this match historic and memorable, but one of the efforts was thwarted by Team India.

Photo refusal with Pak captain

A day before the final, there was to be an official photoshoot between the captains of both the teams but Team India refused. While being on its stance of not making any kind of contact with Pakistan, Team India made it clear that Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav will not take photographs with Pakistani captain Salman Aga a day before the final.

For many years, it has been a tradition that before the final, the captains of both the teams have been photographed with the tournament trophy. But the Indian team decided to break this tradition.

Team India did not join hands

This decision of Team India is part of Pakistan's protest in this tournament. It started during the first match of both the teams, in which the Indian captain refused to join hands with the Pakistani captain during the toss. Then even after the match was over, Team India did not join hands with Pakistani players.

There was a fierce dispute on this. The same stance was also adopted during the Super-4 match played between the two teams and this time both the captains and players made any kind of contact before the match nor after the match.
