IPL Rule, U-16 Cricketers: Playing in IPL is the dream of every emerging cricketer in the country and the world.

The player wants to play in this league at least so that it can make a name and identity. At the age of just 13, Vaibhav Suryavanshi also got the identity of this league and today see how much his stature has increased. But, playing IPL for under 16 cricketers will not be so easy. Now those Vaibhav will not be able to play in the IPL like Suryavanshi. The big reason behind this is the new rule of BCCI.

BCCI brought new IPL rules

Now the question is what is that new rule of BCCI, due to which the under 16 cricket of the country and the world will not be able to play directly in the IPL.

Under 16 cricketers now have to have at least one first class match experience to play IPL. He will not get a chance to play in the IPL without playing the first class match. The seal on this new rule was on September 28 in the AGM of BCCI.

There were no restrictions before the players in the IPL. Neither was there any obstacle of age nor any special rules. But, now BCCI has made the rule of playing first class matches necessary. According to the report, the player played at least one first class match will now get entry in the IPL.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi played IPL in 13 years

Vaibhav Suryavanshi is the youngest player to play in the IPL.

He was bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 1.10 crore in the auction of IPL 2025. When Rajasthan bought him, he was only 13 years and 243 days old. The big thing is that when Vaibhav Suryavanshi played the IPL, he had the first class experience. Like Vaibhav Suryavanshi, many more players of Under-19 cricket are associated with different franchises in the IPL. There are many such names like Ayush Mhatre, Mushir Khan, Andre Siddharth.
