After the historic victory of the Indian cricket team Asia Cup 2025, now the West Indies will face the two Test series.

This series is going to start today (October 2). The first match of the series will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium. This match will start a new chapter in Indian Test cricket. The Indian team will land with a playing 11, which was never seen in the last 15 years.

India will launch such a team after 15 years

The match played in Ahmedabad will be India's first domestic Test match in the last 15 years without the veteran trio of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravichandran Ashwin. In all the domestic Test matches played in the last 15 years, at least one of these three veterans has definitely played.

But Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravichandran Ashwin have retired from Test, due to which the Indian team will now take the field after these veterans years later.

Last time in November 2010, India played a Test match against New Zealand in Nagpur, when these three veterans were not part of India's playing 11. Since then, one of these three has been a part of every match played on the home ground of India. But now this trend is going to end. Let me tell you, Rohit and Kohli have retired from T20 International and Test, while Ashwin has retired from all formats of Indian cricket.
