Ranji Trophy Champion Vidarbha scored 280 runs for five wickets, performing brilliant batting against the Rest of India team on the first day of the Iranian Cup 2025.

Atharva Taide's memorable century

Vidarbha started to start, 40 runs were added without losing wickets in the first seven overs. But after this, the bowlers of the rest of India attacked a rage and dropped three wickets for 80 runs. In this difficult time, Atharva Taide and Yash Rathore shared a brilliant partnership of 184 runs for the fourth wicket, which not only took Vidarbha from the crisis but also gave them an edge by the end of the day.

During this, Atharva Taide, facing 240 balls, scored an unbeaten 118 runs with the help of 12 fours and a six. He stayed at the crease for the entire 84 overs and handled one end. Now his eyes will be on the second day of the game to increase his innings. On the other hand, Yash Rathore played a brilliant innings of 91 runs off 153 balls, but he missed a century. His important innings included 6 fours and 1 six. Rathore caught Gurnur Brar in an attempt to play a big shot off Manav Suthar in the 74th over.

On the other hand, Rest of India fast bowler Akashdeep made an aggressive start. He bowled Taide in the second over, but this ball came out. Akashdeep again got the first success in the eighth over by catching Aman Mokhade by wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan.
