Excellent dialogue on Indian Knowledge Tradition – Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow
Mathura, 12 October (Read News). Under the joint aegis of KM University and Vidya Bharati Institute of Higher Education, Braj Province, a one-day international seminar on the topic “Indian Knowledge Tradition: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow” was organized in the Samvad Bhawan of the University. In this, scholars, educationists and special guests from India and abroad expressed their views on the global spread of Indian culture and knowledge tradition. The program was inaugurated by chief guest Prof. Sunil Baburao Kulkarni (Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Agra), special guest Dr. Vipin Kumar (Adviser in the Ministry of Finance and External Affairs of the Government of India), Prof. Rajesh Thackeray (Braj University, Bharatpur), Prof. Pramod Kumar Sharma (East Region Karyavah, West Uttar Pradesh Region, RSS) and Chancellor Kishan Chaudhary, Vice Chancellor Dr. N.C. Prajapati, Registrar Dr. Puran Singh, and Medical Principal Dr. P.N. Bhise did this by lighting a lamp in front of the picture of Mother Saraswati.
University Chancellor Kishan Choudhary said that the person who has education and knowledge is cultured, because education through knowledge from books and life experience is called culture, after acquiring culture, that person definitely becomes successful. Chief guest Prof. Sunil Baburao Kulkarni, while explaining the nuances on Indian knowledge tradition and systematic education, said that the current courses are preparing professionals in various fields but there is a complete lack of human-building education, which hurts the Indian language. Education, work through foreign languages, English has come into our culture. Due to which our Vedas, sages, scriptures and rituals have been rejected. Our Indian culture is moving away from western civilization. Choosing a foreign language changes our life. Pro. Rajesh Thackeray said that personalities like Abdul Kalam are the gift of Indian culture. He explained the ill effects of microplastics and the need to include traditional methods in education. Professor Pramod Kumar Sharma said that the ancient Indian knowledge tradition has been extremely glorious, the ancient sages were scientists in themselves. These sages deeply analyzed every aspect of life like moral, material, spiritual, character, business etc. and paved the way for the building of society. Today’s India is getting trapped in the trap of western civilization and is moving away from its glorious tradition and excellent knowledge. While breaking the pact with India, Dr. Vipin Kumar said that the welfare of the world will come from India’s knowledge and science and India will once again become the world leader. Similarly, Dr. Tanuja Padarath, senior lecturer at MGI, Mauritius, said that people of Indian origin living in countries like Fiji, South Africa, Guyana, Suriname, took away things like Ramcharitmanas, Hanuman Chalisa, Ganga water etc. from India. Since her arrival, the tradition of Sanatan Dharma and Kali Mai is seen in these countries. It reflects the global spread of Indian culture and knowledge tradition. Ram Prasad, Professor of Hindi at the University of Hamburg, Germany, who is working to establish the identity of India’s national language Hindi in other European countries including Germany, described the Indian knowledge tradition as glorious. Whereas Rita Kaushal Australia presented her statement on Indian knowledge tradition. Similarly, Professor Kailash Vishwakarma, Devi Prasad Mishra, Prof. Mahavir Singh Chhonkar, writer Shashank Prabhakar, Prof. RD Katra, Deepak Sharma gave a powerful speech on Indian knowledge and shared an important platform to highlight various aspects and understand it in modern context.
Registrar of the University, Dr. Puran Singh, while presiding and expressing his gratitude, said that in life we should learn from our great Indian tradition. The Chancellor of the University honored all the guests by giving them the idol of Shri Krishna and certificates. The stage was moderated by Assistant Professor Rajan Peddi. On this occasion, education experts from different cities and states were present in the seminar. Apart from this, Vice Chancellor of the University Dr. Sharad Aggarwal, Medical Principal Dr. PN Bhise, Additional Medical Superintendent Dr. RP Gupta, Seminar Organization Coordinator Prof. KK Kaunodiya, Prof. Sumit Mohan, Dr. RS Pundir, Dr. Kurshid Alam, Dr. Shivraj Singh, Dr. Sumit, Dr. Braj Kishore, University Advisor SP Goswami, Associate Director Sports RK Sharma and dozens of professors/academicians from other cities and all the Deans and Professors of the Faculties of KM University along with a large number of students were present.
