Jaunpur, October 13 (Read News). The officials of the Municipal Employees Union along with the employees met the Executive Officer on Monday regarding their main eight demands. The demands mainly include important issues like benefits of Seventh Pay Commission to contractual workers, payment of monthly salaries of employees and arrangement of organization building.
Municipal Employees Union President Nandlal Yadav said that a meeting has been held with the Executive Officer today. He has demanded that the funds of the State Finance Commission should first be spent on other items only after paying the monthly salaries and dues of all the employees.
A demand has also been made to provide winter uniforms to the employees as before, because the winter season is about to begin. The union has requested to complete the pending work of registering nominees in the service book of permanent employees without any delay. Also, all municipal workers will be issued ACP. There has also been a demand to provide the benefit of (Assured Career Progression), which is not being provided even after repeated requests.
Serious concerns have also been expressed regarding the PF (Provident Fund) of outsourcing workers. The union says that PF money is sent to their accounts irregularly and in small amounts, and is not deposited every month. Deposit it regularly and on time with the appropriate amount and make its accounts available to the Sangh. A demand has also been made to give the PF deposited amount of deceased or fired employees to their families. The contractor should provide health cards to the outsourced workers as soon as possible.
The demand for the building of Municipal Employees Organization is pending for a long time. This has been approved by the Speaker and was also published in the newspapers. Despite this, the organization has not yet been provided with a building, due to which the officials and employees of the organization are forced to sit in the sun or under the trees. The union has demanded an early solution to this problem.——————————
