Indian batsman Ajinkya Rahane, along with Cheteshwar Pujara, has raised an issue which can completely change the condition and direction of cricket in India.

Rahane further said, 'Because of the way cricket is evolving, I think it is very important that the mindset and thinking of the selectors matches it and keeps pace with the changes.
The game is evolving.Rahane said that 20-30 years ago cricket was played differently and decisions should not be taken on this basis. With formats like T20 and IPL, it is important to understand the techniques of modern cricket players. Rahane said, 'I believe that selectors should be from all states and players should play cricket freely and without fear on the field.'
Pujara agreed with Rahane
Pujara said that this formula can be implemented in the teams of big states because they have a lot of options. However, Pujara said that this means that any former cricketer, who has a good record and who now wants to become a selector, should not be given this position because he had retired many years ago.
Pujara also said that the Indian Test team should be selected on the basis of domestic cricket. Rahane also agreed with this.
