NEW DELHI: A diminutive Jemimah Rodrigues rose to the occasion with the innings of her life, crafting an unbeaten 127 off 134 balls to propel India into their third Women’s ODI World Cup final. Her masterclass ended the dominance of seven-time champions Australia as India pulled off a record chase in Navi Mumbai on Thursday.

Jemimah’s hard-fought innings, her third career century and maiden one in a World Cup, was the cornerstone of India’s chase, built on a solid 167-run partnership for the third wicket with skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (89 off 88 balls, 10 fours, 2 sixes).

Pursuing a daunting target of 339, Jemimah anchored the chase brilliantly with an unbeaten 127 off 134 deliveries, studded with 14 boundaries, as India reached 341/5 in 48.3 overs to seal a five-wicket victory with nine balls remaining.
