Arshdeep-Varun's excellent bowling

Australia batted first in this match but Arshdeep Singh (3/35), who returned to the team, spoiled their start.

The Indian pacer lost two wickets till the third over itself. But Tim David (74), who came after him, batted explosively and completed his half-century in just 23 balls. However, Varun Chakravarthy (2/33) tried to put a break on the Australian innings by taking 2 consecutive wickets in the same over. However, David and Marcus Stoinis continued the attack. After David's dismissal, Stoinis (64) scored his half-century and along with Matthew Short (26 not out) took the team to the score of 186 runs.

Sundar's explosive innings

Once again Abhishek Sharma (25) made an explosive start for Team India but this time he could not convert his innings into a big score, while the bad phase of Shubman Gill (15) continued here too.

Although captain Suryakumar Yadav (24) kept the team's momentum going by hitting sixes and fours as soon as he came, but he too could not last long. From here Tilak Verma (29) took charge from one side and took the team to 145 runs. Meanwhile, Sundar, who came to the crease, started beating the Australian bowlers. Then, along with Jitesh Sharma (22 not out), Sundar took the team to victory in the 19th over.
However, Sundar could not complete his first half-century and returned unbeaten on 49 runs.
