India will look to post a formidable total after being put into bat by South Africa in the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 final at the D.Y. Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.

With rain around the corner and the strip at the stadium proving to be beneficial for batters, India will need a 300+ total to put pressure on the Proteas.

The record for the highest total posted in a Women’s World Cup final is held by seven-time champion Australia, which managed 356 for five against England in 2022.

That remains the only instance of a team crossing the 300-run mark in the final of the Women’s ODI World Cup. India’s highest total in finals is the 219 it managed in a losing cause against England in 2017.

Highest totals in Women’s World Cup finals

356/5 – Australia vs England (2022)

285 all out – England vs Australia (2022)

259/7 – Australia vs West Indies (2013)

228/7 – England vs India (2017)
