India have decided not to bring in a replacement for the spinner despite the series levelled at 1-1. He was a part of two matches in Australia.
Kuldeep Yadav, who was dropped from Team India’s playing XI in the third T20I against Australia, has now been released to play in the India A vs South Africa A second unofficial Test starting from November 6.
The BCCI said that the decision was taken to give the spinner time in red-ball cricket to prepare him for the upcoming two-Test series against South Africa.
“The Indian team management has requested to release Kuldeep Yadav from the ongoing T20I series in Australia to allow him to participate in the India A series against South Africa A at the BCCI COE.
“The decision has been taken to provide Kuldeep with red-ball game time in preparation for the upcoming Test series against South Africa,” read the statement from the BCCI.
