Team India got the reward for victory
Devjit Saikia told that last month ICC Chairman Jay Shah had increased the prize money for women by 300 percent. Earlier the reward amount was 3.88 million dollars, which has now been increased to 14 million dollars. Apart from this, BCCI has also decided to give a reward of Rs 51 crore to the players, coaches, selectors and support staff of the Indian team.
This time India has received prize money of Rs 37.3 crore in the ICC Women’s World Cup. This is the largest amount till date. In 2022, Australia received about Rs 11 crore, which means this time the reward has increased by about 239 percent.
The total prize money for the 2025 Women’s World Cup has been kept at Rs 116 crore, which is almost three times more than the tournament held in New Zealand in 2022. This time it has happened for the first time that ICC has kept equal prize money for men’s and women’s World Cup.
